Celebrating In Style - Fotofire's Website Launch Party

We love an excuse for a party, who doesn't?! And after all of our team's hard work getting our new website finished and launched, we decided a bit of a celebration was in order...

After deciding on the 7th June for the big day and sending out the invitations, we got started on planning the party. We went for a garden party theme, and crossed our fingers that the weather would hold out on the day.

Luckily, the weather was great, and as we arrived at the office on Friday 7th June, we got to work on making the office look the part. Bunting was hung across the office and outside (we still haven't taken it down yet – can't get out of the party mood!) and started getting the food ready. Our project manager Jo had been hard at work the night before baking scones and cupcakes, which looked delicious.

To fit in with the garden party theme, we bought things like ham rolls, cocktail sausages, mini pasties and, of course, Pimms! Two kegs of Wrexham Lager were also ordered – lemonade, tea and coffee were provided for those who had to drive.

The action was due to kick off at 2:30, and luckily we got everything ready before the first guests started to arrive, with a little bit of spare time too (which we used to sneak a few cupcakes!).

Our photographer for the day, Andy Monroe, was first to arrive, who took the opportunity to get a few pictures of the office and the team in action! It wasn't long before people started to arrive, however, and for the party to get into full swing!

Music for the day was provided by Neal Thompson, who kindly agreed to play at the party before setting off for his tour of Canada. His acoustic versions of popular songs such as 'Get Lucky' were the perfect soundtrack as more and more guests started to arrive.

By 3pm the party was in full flow, with a combination of clients and friends showing up to enjoy the afternoon. Everyone was tucking in to the food (Jo's cupcakes were a hit with everyone!), and the drinks were flowing. Our guests were taking the opportunity to network and make new contacts, which was great!

The weather stayed sunny all day, which meant that everyone was in a party mood. The office was full of people by 3:30pm, with more and more people turning up to celebrate with us. The Pimms was going down fast, and everyone was enjoying themselves.

The day flew past, and suddenly it was 5:30pm. After we'd said goodbye to our last guests, we went to the Pant-Yr-Ochain in Wrexham for a meal, before returning to the office to finish the party, which went on until about 12am!

Thanks to everyone who came, and thanks especially to Andy, our photographer, and Neal for providing the day's music. We had a brilliant day, and hope everyone else did too! We're already looking forward to our next one...
